Horse/Play Farm and Transport, established in 1998, is a family operated business located the central Southern Tier area of Western New York State. We are located 15 miles from Hornell, NY, 15 miles from Wellsville, NY, and 6 miles outside the village of Alfred, NY, home of Alfred University and Alfred State College.
East Valley Alpacas was added in 2005 with our initial aquisition of 6 alpacas - four unrelated bred females and 2 males. Currently we have 13 alpacas, and are anxiously awaiting the 2008 crias. East Valley Alpacas offers breeding, boarding and sales of our quality alpacas. Come and visit the farm to see what the alpaca lifestyle could mean to you.
Our newest venture is The Fiber Factory, which is located in Alfred Station, NY. The Fiber Factory is a fully equipped 'Mini-Mill', available to breeders for custom fiber processing. The retail shop boasts an extensive assortment of sweaters, ponchos, socks, blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals as well as an increasing number of handcrafted items including sweaters and shrugs.
Horse/Play Farm offers multiple boarding options, indoor riding arena, and many other personalized services depending on your needs. Boarding options include box stalls with daily turnout and stall cleaning or outdoor board. Horse/Play Farm and Transport and East Valley Alpacas promote a friendly, family atmosphere. Our philosophy is based on gentle handling of animals and respectful treatment of people. Our children are as much a part of the business as the adults. We gear activities toward promoting fun in a safe environment.
